GeoSoftware Elevates Geoscience Workflows with HampsonRussell 2025.1 and Jason 2025.1

March 1, 2025 — Houston, Texas -- GeoSoftware™, the global trusted partner providing geoscience software and consulting services for enhanced subsurface knowledge, is pleased to announce the latest release of our industry-leading reservoir characterization software, HampsonRussell 2025.1 and Jason 2025.1.

With this release, GeoSoftware brings powerful new capabilities to enhance usability, stability, and performance for geoscientists worldwide. These latest updates introduce significant improvements that streamline workflows, improve data accuracy, and provide greater flexibility for subsurface analysis.

HampsonRussell 2025.1: Stability, Performance, and AI-Driven Enhancements
HampsonRussell 2025.1 focuses on improving stability and delivering enhanced performance. The new log correlation stretch/squeeze quality control feature enables users to assess relative sonic changes, ensuring more accurate well-to-seismic ties. Enhancements in the GeoAI and Emerge confusion matrix now include F1 Score and Matthews Correlation Coefficient (MCC), providing a more comprehensive evaluation of machine learning model performance, especially for imbalanced datasets. The GeoSoftware Petrel seismic import is now up to 50% faster, reducing delays when working with large datasets.

HampsonRussell RockSI integration with PowerLog RPMs simplifies the import of PowerLog rock physics models, ensuring accurate conversions and enabling seamless integration between platforms. Performance upgrades, including multi-threaded processing in AVO normalization, distributed processing for GeoAI, and faster seismic import/export processes significantly boost efficiency across geophysical workflows.

Jason 2025.1: Enhanced Usability for Greater Insights
With a focus on usability, Jason 2025.1 introduces key updates that simplify and enhance reservoir characterization. Depth-dependent probability distribution functions (Pdfs) in Jason Facies and Fluid Probability (FFP) module now enable visualization of Pdf’s over depth and time, allowing for more precise facies interpretation and comparison. Users can now incorporate more than three input files in FFP, offering greater flexibility in Bayesian inference facies classification and multi-source data integration.

The new realization ranking per scenario feature improves ranking analysis across different scenarios with histograms, cumulative plots, and uncertainty assessments for better decision-making. Additionally, improved azimuth handling ensures consistency in azimuth data representation across applications, simplifying workflows and enhancing data interpretation. High-resolution snapshots guarantee consistent snapshot quality (150, 300, or 600 DPI) regardless of screen resolution, improving visualization for reporting and presentations. RockScale performance enhancements optimize project loading, reducing wait times by up to 14% for large-scale projects.

"GeoSoftware is committed to continuous innovation that empowers geoscientists to make more informed decisions with greater efficiency. The latest enhancements in HampsonRussell and Jason deliver smarter workflows, improved usability, and more robust AI-driven insights. We invite the industry to explore these new capabilities and experience the benefits firsthand."
